Freemasons helping Murcia
Charity has always been a fundamental part of Freemasonry. Not as an occasional gesture, but as a permanent moral obligation: the commitment to give back to the community a part of what the community gives us.
All the lodges in the Province are actively involved in their local community. The Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia coordinates and promotes these initiatives, combining the collective effort of its 145 Freemasons spread across six regular lodges.
In Murcia, nearly 30,000 people rely on food banks to meet their basic daily needs — a figure that has continued to grow. Faced with this reality, the Masonic response is concrete, local and sustained over time.

Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia
Between March and July 2022, 850,000 kilograms of basic foodstuffs were distributed in the Region of Murcia — an increase of almost 40% on the previous year.
Food banks
The Province's lodges work directly with municipal social services to strengthen the reserves of local food banks, especially during periods of greatest demand.
Charity dinners
The Province's Annual Gala Dinner includes charitable activities — raffles and collections — whose proceeds go entirely to regional associations selected for their social impact.
Support for associations
The Province directly supports organisations such as MABS Murcia and Proyecto Oblatas, which work with vulnerable communities in our region.
Provincial initiative
The Provincial Grand Master coordinates province-wide initiatives that combine the efforts of all the lodges, multiplying the impact of each individual action.

Donation of €500 to FUENSOCIAL
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia donated €500 to FUENSOCIAL, an association supporting people with disabilities or at risk of developing them, and their families, through the Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalusia. A reflection of Murcian Freemasonry's fraternal commitment beyond provincial boundaries.

Provincial Gala: €1,600 for AFACMUR
The Province of Murcia donated the €1,600 raised at its Provincial Gala to AFACMUR, an association dedicated to supporting children, young people and their families throughout the cancer treatment process. The Provincial Grand Master Luis Alcaina and Provincial Grand Secretary Ángel Sánchez made the presentation in person.

Gala Dinner: €1,000 for MABS Murcia and Proyecto Oblatas
At the Province's Annual Gala Dinner, €1,000 was raised through a raffle, distributed equally between MABS Murcia and Proyecto Oblatas. The Provincial Grand Master, R.W.Bro. Terence Pierce, personally presented the cheques to representatives of both organisations.
