The Supreme Grand Chapter of Spain renews its leadership in a day of fraternity
On 9 May 2026, the Supreme Grand Chapter of Spain held its installation ceremony in Madrid, in an event marked by a deep spirit of fellowship and attended by more than one hundred members.
M.E. Comp. Txema Oleaga Zalvidea presided over the ceremony, during which M.E. Comp. Shaun Parsons Herrera formally assumed the office of First Grand Principal. He is joined by M.E. Comp. Clive Williams Blake as Deputy, M.E. Comp. José Luis Menoyo García as Second Grand Principal, and R∴W∴Bro. Luis Alcaina Guzmán, Provincial Grand Master of Murcia, as Third Grand Principal.
During the ceremony, the new First Grand Principal installed two new Grand Superintendents: M.E. Comp. José Manuel Merello y Álvarez for Andalusia, and M.E. Comp. Jacob Magnusen for Valencia. He also confirmed in their posts the remaining Grand Superintendents and formally installed the body of Grand Officers.
The day concluded with a fraternal banquet bringing together members and their families in a warm celebration of unity, reflecting the values that define the institution.
XVI Assembly of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia held its XVI Assembly on 18 April 2026 at the Salones del Hotel Agalia in Murcia, with over one hundred brethren. Provincial officers were invested for the 2026–2027 term.
Donation of €500 to FUENSOCIAL
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia donated €500 to FUENSOCIAL, an association supporting people with disabilities or at risk of developing them, and their families, through the Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalusia. A reflection of Murcian Freemasonry's fraternal commitment beyond provincial boundaries.
The Province of Murcia donates €1,600 to AFACMUR
The Province of Murcia has donated the €1,600 raised at its Provincial Gala to AFACMUR, in support of their work helping children, young people and their families throughout the cancer treatment process.
The Provincial Grand Master Luis Alcaina and the Provincial Grand Secretary Ángel Sánchez made the presentation in person.
Luz de Murcia No. 91 donates €1,000 in food to Los Alcázares
Luz de Murcia Lodge donated food items valued at €1,000 to the municipal social services to strengthen the local food bank's reserves.
In Murcia, nearly 30,000 people rely on food banks for their daily needs.
The Province on Nemesis Radio: 15th anniversary of the Provincial Grand Lodge
Representatives of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Murcia took part in the Nemesis Radio programme to mark the Province's 15th anniversary.
Freemasonry, its values and its presence in the Region of Murcia were discussed, responding to questions from listeners.

The Respectable Symbolic Lodge Conde de Floridablanca No. 164 held its last meeting of the 2025-2026 year at the Orient of Murcia, before the summer recess, under the Emulation Rite. During the works, officers were elected for the 2026-2027 year: Worshipful Master, Treasurer, Inner Guard, and Conciliator. The highlight of the meeting was the Initiation Ceremony of a candidate, who thereby joined the Order. The work concluded with the circulation of the Widow's Box.

The Respectable Symbolic Lodge Moriá No. 143 held its Election Meeting at the First Degree, at the Orient of Murcia. During the works, the officers for the 2026-2027 year of the t∴ e∴ were elected, including the next Worshipful Master, the Treasurer, and the B∴ Conciliator of the Lodge, as well as the B∴B∴ Auditors of Accounts for the 2025-2026 year. New readmissions, dual memberships, and proposals of candidates for initiation were also put to a vote. The meeting concluded with the traditional fraternal agape.

The Respectable Symbolic Lodge Caballeros de Levante No. 193 held its works at the Orient of Murcia, under the First Degree ritual of the French Rite. During the meeting, the Worshipful Master, Treasurer, and Conciliator were elected for the 2026–2027 year of the t∴ e∴. The works concluded with the circulation of the Trunk of Beneficence and the customary Fraternal Banquet, thereby closing the year's activities.

The Respectable Symbolic Lodge Fraternidad Mediterránea No. 94, in the Valleys of Cartagena, held its works under the Emulation Rite. During the meeting, the Worshipful Master, Inner Guard, Treasurer, and Conciliator were elected for the 2026–2027 year of the t∴ e∴, and the B∴B∴ Auditors of Accounts were also appointed. The works concluded with the customary fraternal agape.
